Trevira CS = a special type of polyester. Due to the chemical structure of its fibres, the fabric is fire retardant and, thereby, meets the international standards of fire protection. The fabric is light-fast (does not discolour), highly glossy and resistant against all methods of decontamination.
Martindale = method of testing the furniture fabrics’ resistance to abrasion. The value (Martindale rubs/cycles) that result from this test are divided in various usage classes. The value is mentioned on the KIM-label.
KIM = Kwaliteits Informatie Meubelstoffen (Quality Information Furniture Fabrics). The KIM-Label shows the value of the fabric. This varies from 6000 Martindale rubs (decorative usage) to more than 20,000 Martindale rubs (very extensive domestic usage).
