Loetz (Lötz) was a prominent glass studio during the Art Nouveau / Jugendstil period from about 1890 to 1920. The founder was Johann Loetz. The factory became famous through innovative techniques, the production of organic forms in beautiful fiery colors. The inspiration source was certainly the American glass artist Louis Comfort Tiffany (1848-1933).
