The right curtain fabric and the type of window covering have been selected: a pair of new curtains means that the new atmosphere of the interior is almost realised. The final step is choosing a matching suspension system. Since there is much variety, one of Art Deco Web Store’s interior experts can assist you by looking at the possibilities.
Choosing a type of suspension system is dependent of the type of window covering that has been selected. For pleated curtains, there is an inner traversing system (the gliders have been attached to the inside of the rail) or a rod with rings. Ring-top curtains with reinforced metal holes or curtains with a tunnel should be hung on a curtain rod. The sizes of the rails and rods are varied: 8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25, 30 or 35 mm (diameter). When it comes to opting for a rail (inner traversing system), it is also possible to choose flat, square models. Curtain rings have been covered with felt on the inside. This ensures that the curtains glide smoothly over the rod. A matching draw rod can also be delivered with the curtains.
Panel curtains also have a matching system that allows 3 panels to be hung in succession. In order for the fabric to hang nice and straight, an elegant ballast lath has been fastened at the bottom.
Securing the rails or rod can be done via 2 or 3 supportive rosettes and, depending on the model, there is the choice between wall-installation or ceiling-installation. Sagging curtain rods belong to the past due to the clever integral system. By tightening the screw at the end of the rod, the curtains can be adjusted to hang in a straight manner. This is particularly important for heavier curtains as they will stay entirely proportionate in this way. This integral system is optional.
Choose between various materials for the curtain rails and rods: aluminium, polished aluminium, matte brass (brushed), shiny brass, matte nickel (brushed), shiny nickel, stainless steel, polished stainless steel, iron, bronze-plated, charmingly gilded, silver leaf, patinated brass, crystal glass matte, crystal facetted by hand and various types of wood, such as mahogany, beech, cherry, oak, wenge and walnut. Many of these materials can be combined with a selection of supportive rosettes, rods and finials. There are also many different options when it comes it finials, both in their materials as well as their styles: classic, modern, baroque, angular or cheerful.
Finally, there are stunning tie-back supports that match the various suspension systems.
