A breathtakingly beautiful tapestry which depicts the painting Blossoming Almond Tree by Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890).
On 31 January 1890, Theo van Gogh wrote a letter to his brother Vincent explaining that he had become the father of a boy that would be named Vincent Willem. Vincent, who was close to his younger brother, started painting soon after receiving the joyful news. As a gift, he painted one of his favourite scenes: large, blossoming branches against the blue air. The piece was meant to hang above the bed of his brother and his wife. To symbolise the young life, Vincent chose the branches of an Almond tree, one of the earliest blossoming trees that, in February, declare spring in the sunny south.
Lined and fitted with a rod pocket.
Material: 100% cotton.
Dimensions: approx. 140 cm x 100 cm.
